The director of orchestra and singer Plácido Domingo lamented not being able to act on Saturday, September 25, with the Extremadura Orchestra at the Clausura Concert of the Stone & Music Festival of Mérida, after the veto for his performance by the Board of
Estremadura.
The singer has apologized for the accusations of sexual abuse, but it has specified that “apologizing does not mean having committed an abuse”.

Sunday has insured being “very happy” to return act in Mérida after 30 years, but it has rated “Sad” not to do it with the Extremadura Orchestra.
The singer will be accompanied this Saturday on the stage of the Roman Theater by the Philharmonic Orchestra of Spain.

The Junta de Extremadura expressed its rejection of the opera singer’s performance within the programming of the festival for the accusations of sexual abuse and agreed as a result, also that the programming of any concert, festival or event that has sponsorship by
Part of the Regional Administration should be approved prior to the granting of this sponsorship.

“I regret not being able to act with the Extremadura Orchestra, I come from concerts by cities throughout Europe, including Madrid and Marbella, where I have been received with a lot of affection everywhere,” the singer explained in statements made to Europe Press.

Sunday has noticed not wanting to enter controversies but has assured that accusations of abuse “are a huge misunderstanding”.
“I have never abused anyone or anything and this is the result of non-judicial internal investigations with which I have voluntarily collaborated and there is nothing in court,” the Orchestra Director has assured.

He has also reiterated his apologies “in case he had bothered someone unintentionally”, but it has specified that those apologies “are a moral duty.”
“Apologies does not mean having committed an abuse,” Plácido Sunday has pointed out who has admitted sadness to the situation.

“It’s sad that they put me labels without knowing me, without knowing the evad of the facts, but even sadder than it happens in my country, in Spain, I’ve been in my heart and I’ve always taken it with pride all over the world,” HA

On the other hand, Sunday has expressed its satisfaction with the proposal to declare the Zarzuela as an immaterial heritage of humanity.
“The Zarzuela has lived with me before being born, I am proud of having taken it everywhere and it is amazing how the public reacts that, wherever it is, in all nations, goes crazy with the zarzuela,” he said

Sunday has remembered the ties that unite him with the lyrical genre that, as explained, began to listen “before being born.”
“My mother was pregnant at her ninth and she was still singing at the theater,” explained Sunday, who remembered the artistic profession of her parents.
