The government already works on the aid for the palm after the damage caused by the volcano.
The Council of Ministers will approve the Catastrophic Zone Declaration of the island next Tuesday and will boost a package of socio-economic measures that will include “immediate aid” to facilitate housing to those affected or a specific regulation of the eRTE on the island to protect
The use of those who have been affected by the volcanic emergency, such as farmers.

The Government President, Pedro Sánchez, has anticipated this package after participating in the Pevolca Director Committee (Volcanic Emergency Plan).
“The Government is already working together with the Government of the Cabildo and the Canary Islands in a special plan for the reconstruction of La Palma,” the head of the Executive said.

For this purpose, an interministerial group led by the presidency minister has been formed and a mixed commission has been created for the execution of this Special Plan, which will have representatives of all administrations – Government of Spain, Government of the Canary Islands, Cabildo of the
Palm and town halls-.

The aids will be divided into two packages, immediate and others in the medium-long term.
Among the first, in addition to housing and eRTE aid, there will be for good necessity, maintenance and supply of irrigation systems, restoration of mobility and transportation of persons and goods, businesses and companies affected.

Second will be grouped into a Royal Decree that will be taken in the coming weeks to the Council of Ministers and will cover urban measures and effective envelope of resources to rebuild urban environments destroyed;
Measures to provide a definitive and personalized solution to citizens who have lost their habitual home;
An infrastructure plan to recover mobility throughout the island.

It will also include a plan of agrarian infrastructures to recover the irrigation network in agricultural holdings;
a more energetic one who prevents transport lines and distribution of electrical energy by the most protected areas of the island and favors the implementation of renewables;
and, finally, a resource plan for tourism in the islands.

Also, and taking as perch the words of the king during his visit this Thursday to the island, where he landed not to forget the palmers, Sánchez has advanced that the next Conference of Presidents, who would be scheduled for December, will be held in La Palma.
