The Italian Air Company Alitalia has announced through its Twitter account that suspends the sale of travel tickets from October 15 and cancels the flights that were scheduled since then, reports the Europe Press Agency.

According to IL Correiere della Sera, there are some 250,000 people who should fly with Alitalia after October 15, so the Italian government has made available a fund of 100 million euros, which will be destined for reimbursements and relocation of passages in
other companies.
Passengers with reservation for after that date will be able to reprogram the trip for a date prior to October 15 or request the reimbursement of the ticket.
They can change their flight by another before October 15, but with the same destination, or change the destination to travel before that date or divert their flight, in this case with additional cost if the price of flights is different.
If the new flight is cheaper, there will be no refund of the price difference and international flights can not be changed by the national or vice versa.
As for the new ITA company, it will initially operate with a fleet of 52 aircraft, with the anticipation of reaching 80 aircraft at the end of 2022, and more than 105 in 2025. With an initial network of 45 destinations and 61 routes in 2021,
ITA intends to expand the network to 74 destinations and 89 routes around the world at the end of 2025.
