Research by Samuel Luiz’s homicide at dawn on Saturday, July 3 on the seafront of A Coruña continues to advance both by judicial and police.
In court, this last week there was an intense movement and, according to official sources, there has been a statement to 20 witnesses of what happened that helped to clarify how mortal aggression occurred.
The cause is followed in the Court of Instruction number 8 of A Coruña, which continues to carry out research proceedings to treat clarifying the way in which Samuel Luiz’s crime occurred.
After the intense week of statements, the judge is now waiting to receive police reports that help him continue advancing.
Among the 20 witnesses who passed through the court this week are people who were in the vicinity of the scene and most of them are from the environment of the alleged aggressors, all of them neighbors of A Coruña and the same group of
friends.
In addition, people from the victim surroundings passed and others who were inside the pub on the platform in which previously the night of the crime had coincided some of the suspects and Samuel Luiz, 24 years old and who died by a
Severe cranioencephalic trauma as a result of a brutal beating performed by a tumult of people, among them, the six already detained.
For the court also spent this week Ibrahima Diack and Magatte Ndyae, the two citizens of Senegalese origin that that dawn tried to help Samuel Luiz when they were attracting him.
They came on this occasion as witnesses although one of them also has the category of victim for the aggression he suffered when trying to protect him.
According to judicial sources, a car last August 3 of the 8th Instruction Court of A Coruña agreed that the aggression in Ibrahima, who tried to defend Samuel until the aggressors left the place and he himself received blows, will take place
to a separate cause that will be addressed in another procedure.
For the crime of Samuel there are currently six detainees, of which two are minors and are interned in a minor center, three are in provisional prison and one is released as investigated.
Of them, only one, Kaio Amaral, also accused of the crime of misappropriation for taking the mobile of the deceased, declared in the guard court when he was arrested and contributed his version of the facts.
The rest, they were silent.
The aggression happened over 150 meters and lasted six minutes.
Just an hour and a half after the crime, the Judicial Police Brigade of A Coruña has been able to determine that all the aggressors so far stopped maintained a meeting to talk about how to face what happened, because they had just killed a boy, who supposedly not
They knew previously.
The suspects, according to the researchers, tried to eliminate tests and telephone conversations between them, but there are solid evidence against them, among others, two DNA reports that directly link two of the detainees with aggression, but also recordings of security cameras
and mobile devices and witness statements.
The six are accused of homicide, pending concrete during instruction if it would be murder, and researchers consider that there was no clear blow, but an accumulation of many blows for six minutes, between 2,58 hours and 3.04 hours.
Most were with fists and feet, although Samuel was also beaten with a glass bottle.
It is not ruled out that in the trifulca a Kubotan will also be used, a personal defense gun or self-defense based on traditional Japanese weapons.
Among the issues that are still to be clarified is if there is any motivation for such brutal aggression, which surprised the police for its high doses of violence.
The main initial hypothesis is that the aggression began when Samuel was making a video call along with a friend and two of the suspects increased because they thought they were recording, one went for him and the aggression began, in which they hit the scream
of “Maricon”.
