Several Spaniards, isolated on a hotel for Covid patients in the Sicilian city of Palermo, denounce that they live a “Calvary” by heat, food and little information.
Isabel Mariñosa has been locked in the San Paolo Palace of Palermo, one of the facilities that the Italian government uses to isolate positive tourists by Coronavirus or have had contact with some positive.
“We do not want luxuries, it’s worth, but this is hard,” she explained Mariñosa.
With it are her husband, Ángel García, and her children Gonzalo and Mar, 14 and 16 years old respectively, after the latter positive about the cruise that they enjoyed.
This family of Zaragoza sailed on July 17, Barcelona, but his vacation changed when, three days later, his daughter gave positive in one of the evidence that the cruise performed on board.
First they were isolated on cabins and then they had to disembark in Palermo.
Soon after they were transferred to a hotel.
Isabel Mariñosa explains that there you receive medical controls and free food, but it denounces the lack of information, the bad organization and that you do not even have a fan to alleviate the 40 degrees that prevent you from sleeping without tranquilizers.
His displeasure was increased when, on the tenth day of isolation, she gave positive, although at all times she has been asymptomatic, while her son, with whom she shares a room, is still negative.
“The Covid does not do anything because I do not have a symptom, but another thing is anxiety …”, regrets, then laughed against the travel insurance that covers eventual problems for the pandemic and that in your case have not worked
as expected.
Today the whole family underwent a new test and the fear of the mother is that the son is positive and the isolation lengthens, since the managers of the facilities decided not to separate them when she knew that he had the virus, according to denunciation.
Mariñosa and the rest of your family are in contact with other Spaniards and Spanish speakers although they can not specify the number of people who are isolated at the Palermitano hotel because they are in isolation.
OTHER CASES
On the other hand, the Barcelona Anna Robert and her husband have put an end today to this hard experience after 22 days isolated.
The case of it is similar, because she gave positive in a test on board the cruise that took on July 12 at the port of her city.
Robert relates “A Calvary” over these weeks, in a hotel “that seems in ruins, full of seals, plastics, men who scream” and “with a meal and pathetic medical attention.”
In his corridor he assures that there were five or six Spaniards, as well as a Colombian woman who resides in Madrid, and recalls an occasion in which a woman shouted: “I want to get out of here, or by the door or through the window.”
