The Facua consumer organization has accessed a new list of Nestlé ice cream whose manufacturer, Froneri, is urging establishments to be removed by presenting in its composition an ingredient (the E410 stabilizer) contaminated with ethylene oxide.
According to this organization, it has been a Carrefour worker who has facilitated the data;
A Froneri spokesman has explained that not all products included in the affected lots contain traces of ethylene oxide, and at the moment they have not provided data on the references withdrawn.
The company is referred to its website, where you have made available the consumer a search engine in which the batch number is entered to know if it is affected or not.
The list, received by Facua on August 5 by CEPSA Gas Stores with Carrefour stores, includes units belonging to 19 lots of Varieties of Mikolápci piulus, Extreme Vanilla, Extreme Cono Three Chocolates, Nuii Almendrado with Java Vanilla, NUII Mascarpone with Scandinavian Blueberries, Nuii Mascarpone
Nuii coconut coconut and handle of India, chococlack ice cream and milkkeep.
On July 26, Facua has already made public a list with 46 varieties of ice cream manufactured by Froneri that were being withdrawn, of the Nestlé brands, Milka, Toblerone, Nuii, Oreo, Princess, La Diera and Smarties.
To these are added four other varieties of ice cream prepared by Froneri for the IFA Group (Brand IFA ELIGES), of which the Association had knowledge by posters placed in the Andalusian chain of supermarkets, ensures in a statement.
Facua has claimed Nestlé and Froneri that act with transparency and make public the complete list of affected products, although it maintains that to date they continue to include a warning to check if the batch of the acquired ice cream can be contaminated.
The entity has warned that with this decision, the consumer can not know if he has consumed a product with the substance that is rising to his withdrawal if he already threw the container.
The Association has urged the Spanish Food Safety and Nutrition Agency (AESAN, dependent on the Ministry of Consumer) to publish the list of contaminated ice cream and considers itself “regrettable” that you have only included in your Web to be links to the contents of the pages
of Mars and Nestlé relating to the alert.
Mars has already detailed on its website what are the affected references, and in its list there are frozen boxes of M & M’s, Twix and Snickers.
