The open letter by Marian Turski, published this Wednesday in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, is not the only appeal to Mark Zuckerberg: More Holocaust Survivors ask Facebook to delete posts on the platform of the national socialist genocide of the Jewish population of Europe to deny. The Claims Conference, a coalition of Jewish organizations, launched this Wednesday a corresponding Online campaign.

In video messages to the social networks of Holocaust Survivors call, therefore, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to take Action. “Your Suffering is to deny your loss, is hate speech,” wrote the Claims Conference on Twitter. “There is no Denying that the Holocaust was real,” says the Survivor Pinchas Gutter in the Video.

The Holocaust were six million victims. In Poland, around 90 percent of the people were killed in the Jewish faith, in other European countries such as Hungary or the Netherlands, more than 70 percent. The term Holocaust comes from the Greek word “holokauston”, which means fire sacrifice (literally: “completely burnt”). People of the Jewish faith often use the Hebrew word Shoah – disaster.
