In SPD re is opposition to plans of CDU and CSU to establish transit centres for certain refugees on German border. So Juso boss Kevin Kühnert made it clear that his party had already spoken out against closed institutions for asylum seekers. “And that’s why I now expect very clearly that we don’t just break in re,” he said to RBB. “That is our position, which we decided unanimously yesterday, and that is now also true.”

On late Monday evening, CDU and CSU had ended ir asylum dispute with a compromise. They are planning transit centres in proximity for asylum seekers already registered in or EU countries. These bodies are n to be rejected directly in competent countries, if re are agreements. If countries with which re is no such agreement are responsible, refugees should be rejected to Austria. An agreement with Vienna is also to be concluded for this.

In year 2015, such centres had already been debated in grand coalition, albeit with much higher numbers of refugees and a lump sum for incoming refugees. The n Minister of Justice and today’s Foreign Minister Heiko Maas (SPD) clearly rejected such centres: “Transit zones are Haftzonen. To imprison refugees first is a fatal signal, “said SPD politician at time.
Now, however, opinions within SPD are diverging, since proposal of Union provides for a short period of residence in such centres. However, Social Democrats do not want to know term ‘ transit centres ‘. Finally, situation at border is different from level of refugee 2015/2016. It was “not derselbeSachverhalt, not same group,” said party and Bundestag group leader Andrea Nahles in Berlin. “That’s why we reject term auchab.”

As in evening before, when she spoke of “very many questions” of her party in an initial assessment of Union’s compromise, she now sees “considerable need for advice”. Her vice-president Ralf Steger also announced that his party will carefully examine decisions: “After weeks of Rose war in union with Ultimates, threats, desert insults until yesterday, resignations and resignations from resignations, union has now a Night egg laid. What’s slipping out of it? What’s to hold of it? “he tweeted.
