Buffalo Grove firefighter/paramedic Mark Anderson was recently promoted to lieutenant.
Fire Chief William “Mike” Baker said the lieutenant’s position opened up with the retirement of Lt. Wendill Bills, a 33-year veteran.
“We’re looking for more of the same for Lt. Anderson,” Baker said.
Anderson has been with the department for 25 years Vegabet full time.
“It feels wonderful,” Anderson said after the swearing in ceremony at a recent meeting of the Buffalo Grove village board. “It’s a privilege to work for a great town like Buffalo Grove.”
Baker said, “He has always been somebody who has contributed to the department.”
