In the last literary text that Fernando Sánchez Dragó wrote before he died, the writer made two wishes clear: to lie with his father, who disappeared during the Civil War, and that his house in Castrilfrío (Soria) become a museum. And it is that Dragó assured that in it you can find one of the largest private collections of books, “perhaps the largest in the world”, with more than 100,000 titles.
Drago died on April 10 of a heart attack at the age of 86, completely suddenly, at home. And now, Ayanta Barili, the writer’s daughter, has given voice to the last work written by her father while she was alive, which she delivered to the Ministry of Culture days before she died.
“More than Fernando could call me a Book”, Dragó left in writing, who in his latest work highlighted his belonging to “Soria, Castilla, León, Castilfrío and Spain”, all of them in his heart.
In its different categories, the Castilla y León Awards corresponding to 2022 have gone to Antonio Piedra Borregón, in Social Sciences and Humanities; the gymnast Carolina Rodríguez Ballesteros, in the Sports category; María Victoria Mateos Manteca, in Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation.
