The Secretary of Organization of the PSOE in Castilla-La Mancha, Sergio Gutiérrez, has lashed out this Friday against the leader of the PP in the region, Paco Núñez, because “it is immoral to collect a single euro as a bonus having an official car.”
Gutiérrez responded like this after revealing EL MUNDO that the popular candidate for the Board has received, throughout the entire legislature, 14,560 euros in locomotion for attending plenary sessions, despite the fact that he has an official car and that, in addition, he resides in Toledo since the beginning of 2023 and not in Almansa (Albacete), 320 kilometers from the regional capital, as reported at the beginning of the legislature.
The socialist leader, through a message on social networks, has said that Núñez, “to collect the diet, must fill out an individual application every week” so “or he has been wrong 200 times and does not know what he signs”, what is a “danger” if he is president, “or is a liar”.
Therefore, the also Socialist deputy has defended, “there is no room for administrative error”, as the popular leader put it.
The PP candidate has insisted today on his arguments yesterday, that after “detecting an administrative error in the expenses received for locomotion in the regional courts” he asked “immediately” the services of the Chamber and the president of the same to be corrected , because “the honesty of a politician must be above all else”.
In his letter, dated April 20, 2023 and sent to the president of the Cortes, Pablo Bellido, Paco Núñez has stated that he has not been aware “at any time” of the address used to determine the corresponding locomotion expenses, since the document was drawn up by staff from the parliamentary group and signed by the general secretary of the group, and that, for his part, “there was never bad faith”.
In fact, he has considered that “it is clear” that it has been a “mere administrative procedure error” and has stressed that there is no signature of his on any document related to the matter.
For this reason, and after “having detected the error”, he has requested the regional Parliament to issue the appropriate settlement document in order to “regularize the amounts received” and that, to expedite the procedure, the appropriate amounts be deducted from his parliamentary payroll .
Núñez has detailed that at the beginning of the legislature he reported that his address at that time was Almansa and that he later moved to El Casar (Guadalajara), while since January 2023 he has resided in Toledo.
Núñez has stressed that all this data is “public and notorious”, since he has indicated that in different publications, especially through social networks and interviews in the media, he has stated it.
