The Microlino Spiaggina electric micro car, inspired by the classic Isetta, has made its debut at the 2024 Paris Motor Show. This cute and curvy bubble EV from Micro Mobility Systems AG is a modern update to the iconic vehicle from the 1950s and 60s, now equipped with battery-electric drive.
The Spiaggina features a fabric sunroof and open back/sides, perfect for cruising around summer vacation destinations like Portofino, St. Tropez, or Ibiza. With a top speed of 90 km/h (56 mph) and a range of up to 177 km (110 miles) per charge, this micro car is ideal for leisurely drives and soaking up the views.
Constructed with steel and aluminum, the Spiaggina offers a comfortable interior with vegan leather seats in blue/white or gray/brown. The vehicle measures 2,519 mm (99 in) in length, 1,473 mm (58 in) in width, and 1,501 mm (59 in) in height, making it maneuverable and easy to park. With 230 liters of trunk space, there’s plenty of room for beach gear.
Micro Mobility Systems AG envisions the Spiaggina being popular among hotels for on-site rental services and local operators looking to offer tourists a unique electric vehicle experience. The limited First Edition Spiaggina models will be available for purchase next year with a starting price of €24,990. Customers can personalize their vehicle through the Custom Program.
Manufactured in Turin, Italy, the Spiaggina and classic Microlino models are aimed at the European market, with potential expansion to the US in the future. Visitors to the Paris Motor Show can view these adorable micro cars at Micro’s booth in Pavilion 5.3.
Overall, these electric bubble cars offer a fun and eco-friendly way to explore urban areas and vacation spots, combining retro design with modern technology for a unique driving experience.
