Bologna and Milan were set to face off in a Serie A match, but due to adverse weather conditions, the game had to be postponed. The Stadio Dall’Ara was not available for the match due to extreme flooding in the region, leading to the postponement.
Lega Serie A tried to find alternative venues for the rescheduled match, considering Como’s Stadio Sinigaglia and Empoli’s Stadio Castellani, but they were unable to make it happen. Both teams, Milan and Bologna, have busy schedules with Champions League and Coppa Italia matches, making it impossible to reschedule the game before January 2025.
Milan will also be participating in the Supercoppa Italia in January, adding to their packed fixture list. As a result, their away game against Como on January 5, 2025, will also need to be rescheduled. The same goes for Bologna’s away match against Inter in the same round.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the first available dates to reschedule the Bologna-Milan match are between the end of January and the start of February 2025. This postponement also means that Theo Hernandez and Tijjani Reijnders will serve their one-match ban in the next Serie A match against Napoli.
The fans of both teams will have to wait a bit longer to see the rescheduled match between Bologna and Milan, but the new date and time details will be announced soon. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
