A 17-year-old teenager was imprisoned for the assassination of Kendy, 15, killed Monday with a stab during a brawl between rival gangs in the communes of Domont and Ezanville (Val-d’Oise), announced the public prosecutor of Pontoise, Pierre Sennes, to Agence France-Presse, Saturday December 9.
“The alleged perpetrator of the fatal stabbing was indicted for murder and imprisoned,” the prosecutor said.
Monday around 6 p.m., “a brawl involving around twenty people occurred in the town of Domont,” said Mr. Sennes in a press release on Tuesday. The victim, living in the Rû-de-Vaux district of Ezanville, was returning from high school when she was attacked by young people from the neighboring town of Domont. According to the story given to the press by the mayor of Ezanville, Eric Battaglia (various right), the latter had come to take revenge after a fight which had occurred the previous week.
Rivalries between the Rû-de-Vaux district and that of the station city (Domont) have lasted for around twenty years, according to the municipality. After the events, a large force of law enforcement (gendarmes and police officers) was deployed in the area and in the neighborhoods concerned.
Several listening cells for adults and students – the establishment has 1,400 – have been set up at the high school attended by the victim, according to the Versailles rectorate.
