The driver of a vehicle that was traveling on kilometer 38.5 of the As-114 highway, near the town of Trescares, in the municipality of Peñamellera Alta located in the eastern end of Asturias, died today after falling from the a large stone on the side of the road, reported a spokesperson for the Civil Guard.
The accident occurred around 2:00 p.m. and the driver’s wife and daughter were also traveling on board the damaged vehicle, who had to be evacuated to a hospital due to a nervous breakdown.
Patrols from the Ribadesella Civil Guard Traffic Detachment and the Carreña Post Citizen Security moved to the area and at 3:15 p.m. the ambulance doctor certified the death of the driver.
