Rising Hollywood star Jonathan Majors has been arrested in Manhattan on suspicion of assaulting a 30-year-old woman, New York police said on Sunday. Police said they responded to a call to emergency services on Saturday morning and after a “preliminary investigation” determined that “a 33-year-old man had been involved in a domestic dispute with a 30-year-old woman,” according to a statement.
The woman, who told police she was “assaulted” and whose relationship to the actor was not clarified, was taken to hospital for treatment of minor head and neck injuries, and is in “stable condition”, according to the same source.
The actor’s agent, Carrie Gordon, said in a statement to the Los Angeles Times that the actor had “done nothing wrong.” She said she hopes she can “clear his name” quickly, while the actor’s attorney, Priya Chaudhry, quoted by local media, said they were “gathering and quickly going to present to the district attorney evidence in the case.” hope that all charges against him will be dropped”.
