Today, Monday March 27, the Catholic Church honors Saint Alexander of Drizipara.
He served under Tibero as a military man at the time of Emperor Maximilian.
They were the times of celebration in honor of Jupiter, god of gods. However, being a Christian he refused to perform any kind of festive sacrifice.
For this reason, he was brought before the Emperor who ordered harsh punishment for confessing his faith. He suffered several interrogations and beatings that ended his life. Even so, he always wanted to forgive his executioners.
His body was thrown into the river and there he was rescued by four dogs in the presence of his mother.
