Bet on one, the legendary RTVE format, returns to La 1, the public entity announced this Wednesday in a statement. The death of María Teresa Campos and the incorporation of Terelu Campos to Mañaneros has “led” to recovering the 1986 space every Thursday, says public television, in which Terelu will replace her mother and “will argue” with the original rival of María Teresa: Patricia Ballestero. Jaime Cantizano will take on the original role of Jesús Hermida.
The space, they announce, will remember the original: a table, two chairs, a low overhead light and short shots of both, “with the aim of returning to that well-made television.” In the first program, the first question with which the 1986 section premiered will be recovered: “If you knew that your friend was being unfaithful, would you tell her or not?”
The topics will have a certain social significance, avoiding controversy or problematic confrontations, but rather those of daily life, domestic ones, “those that are discussed with pleasure,” La 1 announces.
Other topics that will feature at the table are: “Couples: sleeping in a large bed or separate beds”; “Women, with or without a bra?”; “The potato omelet: with or without onion”; “In general: greet with two kisses or shake hands?”; “Children at weddings: yes or no?”
