Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – home office in Mallorca? This is theoretically possible for employees in the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs. In the course of more flexible working hours and new forms of work, they will in future be allowed to work up to ten days from other European countries, provided that it is compatible with their job. A corresponding service agreement for mobile working has been concluded in the Ministry of Economic Affairs, said Economics Minister Nicole-Hoffmeister-Kraut (CDU) to the “Südkurier” and the “Heilbronner Voice” (Wednesday).
“We do it to be more attractive, to attract young people to us,” said the CDU politician in an interview with the two newspapers. The corona pandemic has set things in motion, from which one can now benefit. The minister would like the Federal Government to make better use of the scope of the European Working Time Directive and allow even more flexibility in German working time law.
