Niederwiesa (dpa/sn) – Three people were injured in an apartment fire in Niederwiesa in the district of Mittelsachsen. The fire broke out on Monday evening for reasons that have not yet been clarified in the apartment of a 66-year-old, the police said on Tuesday. The woman was taken to hospital with minor burn injuries and smoke inhalation. Two other residents of the apartment building, aged 59 and 36, were injured by the smoke. The fire was completely extinguished by the fire department. The damage to property cannot yet be estimated, according to the police. The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
