Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – With a new research center, the state government wants to take more action against right-wing extremism – and is now announcing details of the facility. Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann and Science Minister Petra Olschowski (both Green) want to announce at 12 noon today, among other things, at which university in the southwest the research center for right-wing extremism should be located in the future. There will also be Germany’s first political science professorship for research into right-wing extremism, according to the Ministry of Science.
According to the ministry’s website, the research center aims to build up scientific expertise in all relevant fields of right-wing extremism. It is also about newer research fields such as “right music” or the reinterpretation of language.
