Munich (dpa / lby) – In the collective bargaining conflict in the public sector, the Verdi union has announced renewed warning strikes for next Monday. Among other things, the staff of hospitals and public utilities are called upon, as well as some street cleaning or garbage disposal. This was announced by the Bavarian Verdi district association in Munich on Friday.
On International Women’s Day on March 8th, Verdi then calls for work stoppages in day-care centers and social institutions. In addition, there should be further warning strikes until the third round of negotiations with employers at the end of March, said the deputy regional head Sinan Öztürk.
On Friday, the union largely paralyzed buses and trains in Munich and several other cities in the parallel collective bargaining round in local public transport.
