Heringsdorf (dpa/mv) – In eight seaside resorts on the holiday island of Usedom, visitors can use a uniform spa card from April. In the future, the uniform fee will be EUR 2.70 per night or stay in the high season and EUR 2.00 in the low season, Usedom Tourismus GmbH announced on Thursday. Children under the age of six are exempt.

The fee applies in the designated seaside resorts of Heringsdorf, Ückeritz, Loddin, Koserow, Zempin, Zinnowitz, Trassenheide and Karlshagen. This standardization should only be a first step and also serve as a prerequisite for the island communities and the city of Wolgast to be jointly recognized as a tourism region. With this predicate, other municipalities could also collect spa taxes and be involved. In the future, a digital guest card will also offer discounts in tourism – including ticket-free use of buses and trains.
