Magdeburg (dpa/sa) – Saxony-Anhalt is one university richer. The private Steinbeis University has moved its headquarters from Berlin to Magdeburg and is building a new study location and new courses there, the Ministry of Science announced at a ceremony on Wednesday. So far, the university has had locations in the federal capital, Freiburg, Munich and Stuttgart, among others.
According to the ministry, the facility, with around 5,000 students, is one of the larger private universities in Germany. It offers students in the fields of technology, management, economics and health professionally integrated and practice-oriented bachelor’s and master’s courses. “In close cooperation with partner companies, students devote themselves to practice-oriented projects,” said the ministry.
