Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – Numerous commemorative events and demonstrations have been announced in Baden-Württemberg around the anniversary of the Russian attack on Ukraine. Thousands of people want to show their solidarity with Ukraine across the country on Friday. The city expects around 1,500 people for what is expected to be the largest action in Karlsruhe, a spokeswoman said on Thursday. In addition to a vigil, there will also be music and speeches. Mayor Frank Mentrup (SPD) is also expected. A similar campaign is also planned in Freiburg.
There will be further commemorative events in Stuttgart, Mannheim and Ulm. In Stuttgart alone, more than five campaigns have been announced for Friday. The largest is said to be a demonstration march to Schlossplatz in the early evening. In many cities, the churches also invite you to services on the occasion of the anniversary.
