Magdeburg (dpa/sa) – The planned future center for German unity and European transformation in Halle as well as education policy will occupy the state parliament on Friday. Many expectations are associated with the future center for the further development of the city on the Saale, the Greens parliamentary group has requested a current debate on this. The center, which costs 200 million euros, is to be built by 2028 and will be a meeting place and research center at the same time. Halle had prevailed as a location among several applicant cities.

The Left Group brings the issue of teaching provision and the search for solutions on the agenda of Parliament. After the most recent school summit, after which teachers are to stand in front of the class one hour a week longer, a complete restart with the participation of the state parliament is necessary, according to the left. What is needed is a forum in which everyone can look for solutions on an equal footing. The left also advocates taking back the additional hour and specifying the prospect of better pay for primary school teachers.
