Ramón García was on Wednesday, February 22, on the set of Días de tele to participate in an installment entitled The day we watched television as a family. The presenter talked about his work at the summer Grand Prix.
Carolina Iglesias shared that she was a big fan of the program and its host. Julia Otero rescued a video in which her partner had said: “The first man I liked was Ramón García. He has a romp, doesn’t he?” The Basque joked that he is single.
The collaborator surprised her by showing a letter that she had written with the help of her mother when she was five years old and that was addressed to the La 1 contest: “I realized that I liked women from a very young age also because I sent letters to the stewardesses of the Grand Prix”.
The guest wanted to fulfill Iglesias’ dream: “Before we leave, can I kiss you?” She got nervous and commented: “No tongue, I’ve eaten garlic.” He suggested giving her “a little peck” in front of the cameras and pointed out: “This is going to stay on TV for a lifetime.” Otero added between laughs: “I’m going to tell the executive producer that you don’t get paid today. Today you pay.”
García explained in Días de tele that it was quite frequent that the contestants of the summer Grand Prix suffered injuries: “As the crime has already prescribed, I can count it. It is true that there were many blows, because it was a contest where the physical tests were of contact”.
The interviewee recalled that those in charge of changing the sets wrote different parts of the body behind them: “As things broke, they put crosses.”
The presenter indicated: “A lot of things broke. We always had an ambulance on duty, they took them to the hospital on duty and, when they came back in a cast, I signed their arm. ‘With love, Ramón García’. It was like the medal of the Olympics. ‘I broke my arm in the Grand Prix and Ramonchu signed it for me’. That was milk”.
