The violence of the fighting continues in Ukraine. At least five people were killed Tuesday, February 21 in Russian strikes in Kherson, a city located in the south of the country and reconquered by the Ukrainian army in November, announced a regional military official.

“Right during the speech of the bloodthirsty dictator Putin, the enemy struck residential buildings, critical infrastructure,” spokesman for the Southern Regional Command of the Ukrainian army, Vladislav Nazarov, announced on Telegram, adding that the provisional toll is “six dead and twelve wounded”.

Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday denounced this strike on Kherson, which killed at least five people, according to a revised report from municipal authorities, who had reported six dead at the start. The Russian army “kills without mercy” civilians, denounced the Ukrainian president. “The Russian army is firing heavily at Kherson. Once again, they are mercilessly killing the civilian population,” he lamented in a message on Telegram after the strikes.
