Steinheim an der Murr (dpa/lsw) – A meal forgotten on the hot stove led to a major fire brigade operation in a nursing home in Steinheim an der Murr (Ludwigsburg district). The heavy smoke triggered the fire alarm system. The fire brigade arrived on Wednesday with 5 vehicles and 27 emergency services, the police said. An 85-year-old resident had left the food on the stove while it was on. After the affected rooms were ventilated, the nursing home continued to be habitable. Nobody got hurt.
