Rostock (dpa/mv) – The criminal police in Rostock caught a suspect in the case of a robbery in which a 19-year-old was injured in the face by shots from a stun gun. A 22-year-old man from Rostock is a suspect, as a police spokesman said on Wednesday. The competent district court issued an arrest warrant on suspicion of aggravated robbery. The incident happened on January 31 in the Rostock district of Lichtenhagen.
The injured party was threatened by a man in the dark at the time, but refused to hand over valuables and cash. The perpetrator is said to have shot four times in the direction of the 19-year-old’s face and then fled. Police say the victim suffered “significant injuries to his face.” A description of the perpetrator by the victim led to the suspect on whom the firearm was found.
