Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – The effects of the global IT breakdown at Lufthansa are probably limited at Stuttgart Airport. An airport spokeswoman said on Wednesday that check-in at Lufthansa is currently done manually. So far, a feeder flight from Stuttgart to Frankfurt has been cancelled. She cannot say whether this is related to the IT glitch.

Because of the IT problems, the computer systems for boarding, among other things, had not been operational since the morning. A spokeswoman for the airline explained that they are working intensively on a solution. A crisis team met at the Lufthansa headquarters at Frankfurt Airport. As a result, an as yet unknown number of flights were delayed or cancelled. All domestic German flights were initially canceled and passengers were asked to switch to the train.
