Last day of school in MV in the first half of the year – after the report cards are issued, the winter holidays begin. The kids have two weeks of fun and games ahead of them.
Schwerin (dpa/mv) – Winter holidays at last: The approximately 160,000 schoolchildren in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania will receive their half-year reports on Friday (8 a.m.). The winter holidays are also beginning for the approximately 35,200 vocational students, as announced by the Schwerin Ministry of Education.
Minister Simone Oldenburg (left) said that a strenuous half-year was coming to an end. Despite the wave of illnesses at the end of the year, it was possible to carry out the lessons almost exclusively in attendance. However, some schools temporarily switched to distance learning and emergency care due to too many cases of illness among the teachers. This option should continue to exist.
At the beginning of this week, the ministry activated its reference phone. Students and parents can call 0385/588 7987 for professional advice from school psychologists until February 10th. This Saturday, too, the phone is manned from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
