Danzig/Schwerin (dpa/mv) – Europe Minister Bettina Martin (SPD) emphasized the importance of cooperation with the country on her trip to Poland. “Especially in these difficult times of Russia’s illegal war of aggression against Ukraine, which is raging on European soil just a few hundred kilometers from Gdansk, cooperation between the regions in the democratic Baltic Sea region is of great importance,” she said in Gdansk on Wednesday. For Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, these are in particular the partner regions of Pomerania and West Pomerania, with which there are close links in the areas of business, culture, science, education and civil society. Martin is in Poland for two days and planned to visit Sopot as well as Gdansk.
