Wernigerode (dpa/sa) – The Harz University of Applied Sciences is offline after a cyber attack. After anomalies, all IT systems were shut down as a precaution, said a university spokeswoman on Wednesday afternoon. It will now be checked whether damage has occurred. The systems were to be restarted bit by bit, first the homepage, then the e-mail system and other services. The exam period has just ended, the lecture-free period is approaching. The spokeswoman pointed out that various universities in Germany have already been affected by such cyber attacks. The Harz University of Applied Sciences has around 3,000 students.
