Glauchau (dpa/sn) – In a car accident in Glauchau (Zwickau district), four people were seriously injured according to the police’s initial assessment. A 71-year-old driver drove his car off the road on Monday, countersteered and crashed head-on into another car, a police spokeswoman said. One of the cars caught fire, more details were not initially available. According to the police, more than 40 firefighters were on duty. The 71-year-old and his passenger were injured, as was the driver of the other car and a ten-year-old child. The property damage was estimated at 30,000 euros.
