Coburg (dpa / lby) – In the case of a woman from the Coburg district who was killed in spring 2022, a 29-year-old was charged with manslaughter. The man is said to be responsible for the death of the 28-year-old from Bad Rodach, who was initially reported missing. The public prosecutor’s office had brought charges to the jury at the Coburg district court, a spokesman said on Monday. According to the court, it has not yet decided whether to admit the indictment.

The young woman was missing for around two weeks in spring 2022. The police searched for her for days with a helicopter, divers and sniffer dogs, among other things. At the end of May, according to the public prosecutor, the woman’s body was found in a forest near Lake Wolfgang near Coburg. Coroners determined that the woman died as a result of violence. The suspect was arrested just a few hours after the body was found. The suspect Pole from the Coburg area has been in custody since then.
