Baden-Württemberg: horse throws off rider and runs on the highway

Hohberg (dpa / lsw) – A free-running horse on Autobahn 5 affected traffic on New Year’s Day. A police spokesman said on Sunday that several travelers had reported a horse without a rider on the road between Offenburg and Lahr. On the hard shoulder near Hohberg (Ortenaukreis), police officers finally met the owner and the horse. As it turned out, the woman had previously been thrown from her horse and had to catch the animal again. Nobody was injured in the incident.
