Reutlingen (dpa / lsw) – A 30-year-old is said to have injured a resident of an apartment building in Reutlingen so badly after a dispute that he died. The man was taken into custody on suspicion of a homicide, as the police and public prosecutor’s office in Tübingen announced on Saturday.
According to their own statements, the police were called to the house on Thursday evening because the smell of burning was coming from an apartment. Next to a pot on the stove with smoke pouring out, the officers found the 53-year-old resident unconscious and seriously injured. He was taken to a hospital where he died on Friday.
Investigations revealed that the victim had previously argued with the 30-year-old roommate. Investigations into the background and course of the crime are ongoing.
