Frankfurt/Hofheim (dpa/lhe) – The Frankfurt Administrative Court has objected to the conditions for a demonstration in Hofheim (Main-Taunus-Kreis) as being unlawful. An alliance called “Main-Taunus – Your voice against the right” organized a demo in Hofheim on September 3, 2022 and had the city’s conditions checked afterwards. The organizers were right there on December 20, as a spokeswoman for the administrative court confirmed on Thursday.

A spokesman for the alliance called the verdict on Thursday “a clear legal slap in the face for the city’s regulatory authority”. The decision fully confirms the notifying parties’ view. The judgment is all the more important because the corresponding wording is used in many of the city of Hofheim’s notices of condition.

According to the court spokeswoman, the administrative court complained, among other things, that the conditions were too vague. This applies, for example, to the requirement to reduce the volume so that nobody feels bothered, or the ban on banners, which are banned in Germany or abroad. It is also incomprehensible that the organizers had to provide five folders instead of two, since the demo did not pose any particular danger.
