Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) – A pedestrian was hit by a van in Düsseldorf and seriously injured. According to the police, the 33-year-old driver of the van turned off at a green light in the area of an intersection and crossed a pedestrian crossing. He caught the 39-year-old pedestrian who was thrown onto the road.
He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The police are now investigating exactly how the accident happened on Wednesday evening.
