Grän (dpa / lby) – Two women from Middle Franconia fell several meters and were injured during a hike in Tyrol. The two women and a twelve-year-old girl from the Ansbach district got lost in Grän in the Tannheimer Tal during an easy hike on the way back to the parking lot, the Tyrolean police said on Thursday. The 76-year-old slipped on Wednesday and fell about 15 meters from a rock edge. Her 49-year-old companion also fell several meters during a rescue attempt.
The girl finally made an emergency call on her cell phone. The two women were taken to the hospital in Reutte. It was initially unclear how badly they were injured.
