Duisburg (dpa / lnw) – A fire in an asylum seeker’s accommodation in Duisburg went off lightly. The 120 residents were brought to safety in good time by the facility’s security service, the fire department said. Nobody was injured. When firefighters arrived, flames and thick smoke came out of a ground floor window. After the fire was extinguished, residents were able to return to the building. The cause of the fire was initially unclear to the police. However, there is no evidence of a political background, said a spokeswoman.
