At 22, Alphonso Davies already plays a key role at FC Bayern. As a Spanish newspaper reports, the Canadian arouses desires at Real Madrid. However, in order to keep the price down, the transfer should not take place this year.

According to a media report, Real Madrid are interested in Alphonso Davies from Bayern Munich. The royals would like to sign the Canadian in 2024 if possible, reports the Spanish sports newspaper “As”. The 22-year-old Canadian World Cup player’s contract with the German record champions is valid until June 30, 2025. A source didn’t name “As.”

The current market value of Davies is currently 67.8 million euros, the paper continues. Real wants to wait until 2024 to avoid a transfer fee of 100 million euros, which Bayern currently have to pay at least for a left-back change, as “As” speculates.

Those responsible at Real are enthusiastic about Davies’ speed and appreciate his experience despite his young age. “As” himself describes the Canadian as a “rocket” and lists, among other things, his top speed of almost 36 km/h and his record at Bayern since arriving in Munich at the beginning of 2019.

In addition, Davies impressed the Madrilenians with his performance at the World Cup, even though he missed a penalty against Belgium. In the game against Croatia, however, he scored Canada’s first goal at a World Cup. Davies, who was born in 2000 in a refugee camp in Ghana and was taken in by Canada with his Liberian parents in 2005, has just been voted Footballer of the Year in his native Canada – the fourth award in five years for Davies.
