Bochum (dpa / lnw) – A week after the death of a 45-year-old in Bochum, her partner was allowed to leave custody. As the Bochum police announced on Friday, according to the current status of the investigation, it cannot be ruled out that the act of violence was not a homicide, but an injury resulting in death. The district court in Bochum has therefore suspended the arrest warrant. According to a police spokesman, the 41-year-old remains a suspect in the proceedings.

On December 15, the fire brigade was called to a medical emergency in the apartment in Bochum-Wattenscheid. However, the injuries to the 45-year-old indicated that she had been killed. The autopsy supported the suspicion of a violent crime. The partner who was arrested in the apartment was taken into custody on suspicion of manslaughter.
