Munich (dpa / lby) – FC Bayern has extended the contracts with two amateur players. As Munich announced on Wednesday, goalkeeper Jakob Mayer (21) will stay until the summer of 2024. His contract would have expired at the end of the season. Full-back Angelo Brückner (19) also extended his contract early until the end of June 2025. Mayer has been part of the German record champions’ youth department since 2013, Brückner moved to the campus in 2017.
“Jakob and Angelo completed a large part of their football training at FC Bayern. Both have not yet fully exploited their development potential. I am pleased that they are going into the future together with us and I am very excited about their further path,” explained the youth boss John Sauer.
