Freiburg (dpa / lsw) – A package driver was on the road in Breisgau with more than three per mille in his breath. His vehicle attracted attention because it was driving in wavy lines on Saturday afternoon and, according to witnesses, sometimes got into the oncoming lane, the police said on Saturday. Officials found the van in the yard of a parcel delivery company.
The 37-year-old driver was then subjected to an alcohol test. The result: more than 3.1 per thousand. He is now being charged with drunk driving. The man’s driver’s license was also allegedly revoked, the police said. The transporter with Berlin registration was noticed by several witnesses between March-Holzhausen and March-Buchheim (Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district).
