Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) – The state of Hesse has decided on a new action plan to combat domestic violence. “This means that domestic violence can now be countered even more comprehensively, effectively and sustainably,” said Justice Minister Roman Poseck (CDU) on Thursday in Wiesbaden. For example, there should be more interdisciplinary cooperation in child protection procedures and awareness of this topic should be raised in several professional groups. According to the statement, the number of registered cases of domestic violence has increased in recent years. Around 10,400 cases were registered last year, compared to around 8,200 cases in 2016.
