Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – In order to save gas, wood stoves that have been shut down can be put back into operation for a limited period of time. The prerequisite is a corresponding permit from the responsible city or district, said the Ministry of the Environment on Thursday in Stuttgart. Exceptions are possible until the end of May 2023. Among other things, they are to be issued when the stove is ready for operation, but is not being used continuously and has been checked regularly by the chimney sweep and will continue to be monitored by him. In addition, an existing gas heating system had to be replaced in whole or in part.
