Mannheim (dpa / lsw) – The Adler Mannheim will have to do without the young striker Simon Thiel at least until mid-February. The 21-year-old injured his leg during training and, ideally, will be out for around eight weeks, as the top club from the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) announced on Thursday. Born in Mannheim, he has scored one goal in 21 games this season and prepared three goals. The Adler are currently third in the DEL table, on Friday they meet the Augsburg Panthers.
