Munich (dpa / lby) – Due to freezing rain and the associated risk of ice, the city cemeteries in Munich will remain closed on Wednesday. “Mourning ceremonies and burials are carried out,” emphasized a city spokesman. Mourners would be picked up by cemetery staff at the respective main entrance, escorted to the mourning hall and burial place, and brought back to the exit.
The German Weather Service (DWD) warned of freezing rain and issued a severe weather warning. The entire area south of the Schwarzwald-Inn line is at risk.
